Last updated: September 2026Cozy Watch (“we”, “our”, or “us”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what data we access and process when you use the Cozy Watch desktop application, website, forms, downloads, and related services (“Services”).

1. Information We Collect

The App operates locally and communicates directly with GitHub’s API to retrieve data for your connected account, including:
- Your GitHub username and avatar
- Repositories you have access to
- Pull requests, issues, and related metadata - Pull requests, issues, reviews, checks, and related metadata
The website may process your IP address, browser and device information, language, referrer, visited URLs, page views, and interactions through Google Analytics and Umami analytics. If you submit a newsletter or invitation form, we process the email address and name you provide to deliver that request.

2. Authentication and Tokens

Cozy Watch uses GitHub OAuth or another supported GitHub authentication method. Access tokens issued by GitHub are stored locally on your device and protected using available operating-system security features. We do not send your GitHub tokens to our servers. You can revoke access anytime through GitHub.

3. Data Storage and Security

Data fetched from GitHub is cached locally for performance. The website’s analytics data is sent to Google Analytics and Umami. Newsletter submissions are stored in Supabase, and invitation emails are sent through Resend. These providers process data under their own privacy terms. We retain data only for as long as needed for the relevant purpose or as required by law.

4. Third-Party Services

The App communicates with GitHub to fetch repository and pull request data. The website uses Google Analytics, Umami, Supabase, Resend, hosting, and download-distribution services as described above. Their own terms and privacy policies may apply. GitHub’s Privacy Statement is available here:

5. Your Rights

You may delete the App and its local data at any time and revoke GitHub access through GitHub OAuth settings. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal data we process, and you may unsubscribe from newsletter messages, by contacting us. You may also have additional rights under applicable data-protection law, including the GDPR.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in the latest version displayed on our website or within the App.
