Last updated: October 2025Cozy Watch (“we”, “our”, or “us”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what data we access, how we handle it, and what rights you have when using the Cozy Watch desktop application (“App”).
1. Information We Collect
Cozy Watch does not collect or store any personal information on external servers. The App operates entirely on your device and only communicates directly with GitHub’s API to retrieve your own account and repository data, including: - Your GitHub username and avatar - Repositories you have access to - Pull requests, issues, and related metadata
2. Authentication and Tokens
Cozy Watch uses GitHub OAuth for authentication. Access tokens issued by GitHub are stored locally on your device and encrypted using Electron’s safeStorage API. We do not send, store, or share these tokens with any external servers. You can revoke access anytime through GitHub.
3. Data Storage and Security
All data fetched from GitHub is temporarily cached locally for performance. Cozy Watch does not transmit any user data to external servers and does not collect analytics or telemetry. System-level encryption protects sensitive information stored locally.
4. Third-Party Services
The App communicates only with GitHub to fetch repository and pull request data. GitHub’s own Terms of Service and Privacy Policy apply when you use their services. You can review them here: GitHub Privacy Statement
5. Your Rights
Since Cozy Watch does not store personal data on external systems, there is no user data to modify or delete beyond what exists locally. You may delete the App and its local data at any time, and revoke GitHub access directly through GitHub OAuth settings.
6. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in the latest version displayed on our website or within the App.
